Loading Application...

Serial Control is a software application that runs on the JNIOR and allows the user to interact with the JNIOR I/O via the serial port and/or an Ethernet connection. Below you can configure the TCP or serial connection, edit the termination strings, and control the responses returned from serial control.

*Incoming Termination String

Sets a flag for what sequence of characters represents the end of incoming data.

Outgoing Termination String

Sets a flag for what sequence of characters represents the end of outgoing data.

Send Counts

Sends the amount of times an input has changed, each time it changes.

Send Date Stamp

Sends the current date and time with each change reported from the serial control application.

Send Unsolicited I/O Alerts

Determines if the serial control application reports changes it makes. Send Counts and Send Date Stamps won't be sent depending on this option.

*Serial Port

Serial port a Serial Device and the JNIOR will communicate on.

*Tcp Port

TCP port that an external device can connect on to send data between the device and JNIOR.

*Udp Port

UCP port that an external device can connect on to send data between the device and JNIOR.
